Marcia Steeves, Melissa Smith

Marcia Steeves has been promoted to credit officer in the Business Bank of Nevada office in Carson City.

Melissa Smith has been hired to succeed Steeves as credit analyst, a position Steeves held at Business Bank for the past two years.

Steeves, who has more than 20 years experience in banking in northern Nevada, worked for Northern Nevada Bank, First National Bank, Comstock Bank, Bank of America and Valley Bank of Nevada before she joined Business Bank.

She earned a general banking diploma from the American Institute of Banking.

Smith joins Business Bank from Robobank in Palm Desert, Calif., where she worked for nearly six years as credit support team leader. She also worked for a brief time for Inter-County Title Company of El Dorado County in South Lake Tahoe.

Smith spent most of her 14-year banking career working for First Security Bank of Nevada. She began her career working for a CPA firm in Zephyr Cove.
