Von Valdez, shop mechanic for slot repair at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino, has been recognized the as the property's "Silver Baron Employee of the Year." Terry House, retail manager, was recognized as "Sam Fairchild Manager of the Year Award." Each will receive a $10,000 bonus.
Other employees who were recognized and awarded $2,500 each were Ania Hynek, a cocktail waitress; Jason Ardans, maintenance technician for the entertainment department;, Heidi Lawien, a dealer; and Catalina Guzman, office clerk for housekeeping.
