12-acre retail center planned at Fernley

Fernley retail will get a boost from a 12-plus acre project, Fernley Village, developed by Fernley Village LLC.

The center will break ground this summer on the site between Wal-Mart and Lowe's and expects to open in 2008.

"We hope for big box tenants plus banks, fast food, and a clothing store like Ross," says Dan Gluhaich, who oversees the project for Fernley Village LLC. He also is associated with Intero Real Estate Services in Morgan Hill, Calif.

Chris Waizmann, a senior vice president with CB Richard Ellis in Reno, represented the Fernley Village LLC in its purchase of the land.
