Dr. Kathryn L. Eckert has accepted the pro-bono position as medical director for the Reno-based Nevada Diabetes Association and will oversee the association's Camp for Kids program.
Sarah Bieski, meanwhile, has joined the association as director of camp programs.
Eckert, who works in private practice, is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist and a graduate of the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
Bieski, a University of Nevada, Reno, graduate, has been part of the association's camp program since its inception, starting as a camper and becoming a counselor before she was named director.
