Mendy K. Elliott has been appointed by Gov. Jim Gibbons as director of the department of business and industry. She succeeds Sydney Wickliffe.
Elliott previously worked 24 years with Wells Fargo, most recently as senior vice president and manager of the company's store-based private banking team in Nevada. Earlier, she headed Wells Fargo's community and government relations department in Nevada.
