Noel Waters, former district attorney in Carson City, joined Lionel Sawyer & Collins and will serve as counsel to the firm in its Carson City and Reno offices.
Waters was appointed as district attorney in 1985 after working as a deputy in the office since 1982. He subsequently was elected to the position five times.
An Air Force veteran, Waters worked for the Bureau of Land Management, the Nevada Highway Patrol, and the Nevada Legislature before he entered law school.
