Mike's Trenching Inc. of Reno last week won an $89,407 Washoe County contract to lower a water line in Pleasant Valley.
A 220-foot section of the 8-inch line will be lowered 10 feet below the bottom of Galena Creek. Portions of the line became exposed by erosion during New Year's flooding a year ago.
