Industrial park to acquire public lands

Winnemucca Airport Industrial Park will buy a 26-acre strip of public land that separates it from the Union Pacific railroad line. Bureau of Land Management manages the parcel and approved the sale, says Joe Locurto, rural economic development coordinator.

Nevada Commission on Economic Development last week granted Humboldt County Economic Development Authority a year-long extension on $60,000 earmarked for Airport Lands Acquisition.

The industrial park measures 100 acres, with an ultimate build out goal of 750 acres. Carry-On Trailer Inc. is a major tenant of the park.
