Reno-Sparks home values continue fall in first quarter

Home values in the Reno-Sparks area during the first quarter were down 3.97 percent from year-earlier figures, the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight reported last week. That area's housing market was the fifth weakest in the nation as measured by price appreciation during the 12 months, the agency said.

During the first quarter alone, home values were down 1.28 percent. For the past five years, values in the Reno-Sparks area show an 88.8 percent increase.
