Aloha Medicinals Inc. is moving its manufacturing plant from Santa Cruz, Calif. to 2300 Arrowhead Drive in Carson City. It will also move its Hawaii headquarters to the new location. The company sells nutritional supplements made from mushrooms.
Aloha will employ about 25, says Megan Powers, treasurer, but will start with about 10 when it opens in August. Five current employees will relocate. The 33,000-square-foot facility does not require renovation, she adds. EDAWN estimates the first-year economic impact of the company at $18.1 million.
