Yazan N. Sharif has been named chief operating officer of Carson City-based Humidity Control Systems.
Sharif previously worked for EEG Spectrum International, Ingersoll-Rand, Indresco and Dresser Industries/Halliburton.
He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering from MIT and a master's in business administration from Southern Methodist University.
