Alliance Commercial takes affiliation with NAI Global

Alliance Commercial Real Estate Services

LLC, a Reno-based brokerage company, has

become affiliated with a NAI Global, a

national network of independent commercial

real estate companies.

The Reno company will change its name

to Alliance/NAI.

Scott Shanks, a vice president of the firm,

said Alliance Commercial talked with several

national real estate network before settling

on an affiliation with NAI.

"Its platform offers the best fit for our

company," he said."It allows us to remain

completely independent and internally governed,

but gives us a globally recognized

brand that will give us expanded credibility

with corporate clients."

Alliance, which has 36 brokers and support

personnel working in the office, retail,

industrial, and property management sectors,

has worked as an independent office

since its formation two years ago.

Shanks said Alliance also was looking for

the support services available from a large

network that can't be developed by a standalone

company.

NAI Global, which is based at Princeton,

N.J., has developed a network of 350 commercial

real estate offices in 45 countries

since it was founded as New American

Network Inc. in 1978. (The current name

NAI refers to "New American

International.")

In 2006, the NAI network handled more

than $40 billion in transactions.
