Cleaning franchise firm targets Reno

A California company that franchises commercial cleaning businesses plans to begin a sales initiative in the Reno market in 2008.

Coverall Mountain & Pacific, a master franchiser for Coverall Cleaning Concepts, expects to sell as many as 100 franchises in the Reno market, said Mark Melton, its president.

He said most franchises are sold to individual owner-operators, some of them part-timers, in the commercial cleaning business.

Coverall Cleaning Concepts already has customers in the market through its national accounts program.

The company is headquartered at Boca Raton, Fla.

Melton, whose master-franchise company is based at Santa Barbara, Calif., said the company typically markets its franchises through print advertising, with special attention to Hispanic media.

In its marketing materials, Coverall says franchise owners need to invest $6,000 to $32,000.

The company plans a location in the area that will serve as a franchise sales office, training center and a contact point for potential commercial cleaning customers.
