Mark W. Crawford has been named chief executive officer and managing director of Northern Nevada Medical Center. He previously held the positions on an interim basis.
Before coming to the hospital in Sparks, Crawford was chief operating officer of Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas.
He also has held chief executive and chief operating officer roles in companies in Tennessee, California, Oklahoma and Virginia.
He earned a master's degree in business from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, a bachelor's degree from Charter Oak State College in New Britain, Conn., and an associate's degree in medical laboratory technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
