Q&D Construction has completed the $38 million Highlands View Road that provides access to the Highlands destination resort under development above the Northstar-at Tahoe ski resort.
The road, which includes an average grade of 10 percent and a vertical gain of 665 feet, leads to the 173-room Ritz-Carlton Highlands hotel under construction by the Q&D/Swinerton joint venture.
The project included moving 181,000 cubic yards of road construction material under strict environmental guidelines.
