David B. Walker has been named executive director and chief executive officer of The Nevada Museum of Art.
Walker, who will start work Oct. 15, previously was dean of public programs at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif. He also was founding partner of Walker and Walker Gallery in Santa Monica and work as an associate at McBain, Rose Partners, an investment firm specializing in management buyout transactions.
He earned a bachelor's degree in fine art from Humboldt State University and undertook graduate work at Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design.
