Rural tourism honors

Tourism executives and volunteers Janet Jones, Chris Gibbons, Sue Barton and Kitty Nash have been recognized by the Nevada Commission on Tourism for contributions to rural tourism in the state.

Jones is group sales manager for the Carson City Convention and Visitors Bureau. Gibbons is administrative assistant in the Carson City-based Nevada Indian Commission and a member of the board for the "Indian Territory" tourism promotion group, Barton is director of visitor information for the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority and Nash is a board member of the Elko Chamber of Commerce and a board member of the "Cowboy Country" promotion group.
