State revokes contractors' licenses

The Nevada State Contractors Board last week revoked the licenses of Argonaut Construction of Reno and A Beautiful Lawn LLC of Sparks.

The board found that Argonaut failed to comply with an administrative citation.

A Beautiful Lawn LLC abandoned a constrution job, failed to pay for services and materials, acted beyond the scope of its license and misrepresented a material fact, the board said. The company was fined $4,750 and

order to pay restitution to damaged parties.

In other disciplinary actions, the board suspended the license of Wilford Excavating Inc. of Reno and required that the company provide a current financial statement to support the limits specified on its license. The board said the company failed to pay for materials and services and failed to establish financial responsibility.

It was fined $750 and ordered to pay restitution.

Zorro Inc. of Reno, which does business as Cabinet Facers and Kitchen Concepts, was fined $100 for failure to include information about the Residentail Recovery Fund on a contract or proposal.
