Meritage Homes confirmed in an SEC filing last week that it's leaving the Reno market, saying the start-up operation failed as a result of the weak housing market.
Meritage, headquartered at Scottsdale, Ariz., entered the Reno-area market in 2005, and it's wrapping up sales of homes at Cross Timbers in Sparks and Winter Creek in Reno.
