Top technology companies and technology entrepreneurs in northern Nevada will be recognized through a new awards program launched by Nevada's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology.
Nominations open this week for the NCET Awards, which are sponsored by Northern Nevada Business Weekly and the Economic Development Authority of Northern Nevada.
Companies will be recognized in categories that include Tech Company of the Year, Tech Start Up Company of the Year and "Green" Company of the Year.
Individual awards will include Tech Entrepreneur of the Year, Chief Technology Officer of the Year, Chief Information Officer of the Year and Tech Educator of the Year.
Award winners will be honored at an Oct. 21 dinner following the annual Silver & Gold Conference, a gathering of venture capitalists in Reno.
