Four northern Nevada businesses were honored last week by the Washoe County Health District and the Nevada Cancer Council for voluntarily expanding the smoking bans at their facilities.
Bill's Casino Lake Tahoe and Nikki Beach at Grand Sierra Resort were recognized for total smoking bans.
Silver Peak restaurants in Reno were recognized for a ban of smoking at outdoor patio areas.
Matley Apartments in Reno was recognized for maintaining a portion of the complex as smoke-free.
