Airport project on schedule

Work that began in February on the $60 million Airport Baggage Check-in project at the Reno-Sparks International Airport has progressed without a hitch or any disruption to passengers, says Brian Kulpin, public affairs manager for the RTIA.

The project, paid for by surcharges on airline tickets and a $12 million grant from the Transportation Security Administration, is expected to be completed in early 2010. Q&D is the general contractor on the project, which gives the airport the latest in technology and security for baggage check-in.
