Butcher Boy: We're not done

After the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August, rumors of the demise of Butcher Boy swirled about town.

But the venerable local butcher founded in 1974 on Rock Boulevard by Dallas Jolly still has its doors open at its South Reno and Sparks locations, manager Clint Jolly says.

"I guess a lot of people just figure when you file for Chapter 11 that you're done," Jolly says. "We didn't expect things to go the way they did with the economy, and with a brand new location, but the fact is, we have resolved to make it through this recession and still be your local butcher shop. We aren't going anywhere."
