Hispanic TV service on way

Reno's Hispanic market drew the interest of a nationwide television service, V-me television, owned by U-me Media Inc. It called on KNPB Channel 5 last spring, wanting the station to air its programming tailored to a Spanish-speaking audience.

That will happen next year, says Pat Miller, vice president of programming, promotion and education, when analog TV completes its transition to digital. Digital station 5.1 will carry the regular channel 5 programming, 5.2 will carry Create, a collection of lifestyle programming and 5.3 will carry V-me.
