Widening Powhound's scope

To broaden the reach of Powhound.com, a Web site about ski hills that debuted in January, owner Max Shu Teasdale says she has been in discussions with potential partners to broaden the site to include other action sports.

The site has become an affiliate marketing partner with gear sites such as REI and Backcountry.com to try to bring in revenue via click-throughs on banner ads and links in the onsite e-newsletter, also new.
