State disciplines seven contractors

The Nevada State Contractors Board has revoked the licenses of three northern Nevada contractors, suspended the license of a fourth company and disciplined three others.

The board revoked the licenses of Bugicia Landscaping, Advance Plumbing Systems Inc. and Ray Essling Enterprises, all of Reno. It summarily suspended the license of Atlas Tile and Stone of Reno.

Bugicia Landscaping completed substandard workmanship, the board said, and also violated numerous standards concerning financial responsibility and proper contracting. The company also was fined $3,100 and told to pay restitution to a homeowner.

The Contractors Board said Advance Plumbing Systems abandoned a construction project. It also was ordered to pay restitution to a project owner.

Ray Essling Enterprises, the board said, allowed its license to be used by an unlicensed person.

The license of Atlas Tile and Stone was suspended after the board found it used false identification to obtain a contractors license.

Other disciplinary actions by the board included:

* Zorro Inc. of Reno, which does business as Cabinet Facers and Kitchen Concepts, was ordered to make repairs after the board found its workmanship on a project was substandard.

*Presto General Builders of Sparks was ordered to pay $270,000 in restitution after the board found it failed to pay for materials or services and failed to establish financial responsibility.

* Nevada Tops Inc. of Sparks was fined $3,500 after the board found that its work was substandard and it acted beyond the scope of its license.
