Vitamins company buys land for facility

Novus Optimum Inc., a vitamins company headquartered at San Francisco, has purchased four acres at Tahoe Reno Industrial Center.

The company, which employs four, expects to break ground for a new facility as soon as weather permits, said a spokesman for the industrial center.

The company was founded 10 years ago by Meliza Reyes, an immigrant from the Philippines, who worked in the life insurance industry before launching the maker of nutritional products.
