Earnings increase for Heritage Bank

Heritage Bank of Nevada said last week it earned $2.5 million in the first half of this year, an increase of 15.3 percent over the same period a year ago.

The Reno-based company said its assets totaled $316 million on June 30, an increase of 5.3 percent over year-earlier figures.

President Stan Wilmoth said the financial performance means Heritage "far exceeded the minimum capital requirements needed to maintain a well-capitalized bank."

The company operates five branches in Reno, Sparks and Carson City.
