Dr. Karen Rae Abbott, a gynecologist and urogynecologist with the Athena Medical Group in Reno, performed the first reverse tubal litigation using the robotically assisted da Vinci Surgical System.
Abbott has worked with the developer of the system, Intuitive Surgical Corp. for 10 years.
She performed the surgery at Renown Regional Medical Center.
