State revokes license of Fernley contractor, disciplines six companies

The Nevada State Contractors Board has revoked the license of Advanced Stucco of Fernley as the result of a recent disciplinary hearing, and Corbet Weiler Homes LLC of Carson City voluntarily surrendered its license after a hearing.

Five other contractors working in northern Nevada also were disciplined.

Advanced Stucco's license was revoked after the board found it failed to establish financial responsibility.

The company also was fined $2,000 and ordered to make restitution to property owners.

Corbet Weiler Homes surrendered its license after the board found it diverted funds and failed to establish financial liability. The company also was fined $800.

The license of Visions Concrete Design LLC of Sparks was suspended after the contractors board found the company didn't establish financial responsibility and didn't keep a bond in force. It was ordered to make restitution to a damaged party and provide a financial statement to the board.

The license of Grass Valley Industries, a Reno company which does business as Kerr Concrete, was suspended after the board found it diverted funds and didn't keep a bond in force.

Helms Hardwood Flooring of South Lake Tahoe was reprimanded by the board for failing to include required information on a contract and failure to establish financial responsibility.

Roofcrafters Inc. of Crystal Bay was fined $100 and told to fix a homeowner's roof after a complaint of

substandard workmanship.

MKM Builders Inc. of Gardnerville was fined $100 and told to complete repairs on a home after the board found it didn't include all the required information on a contract.
