The Nevada State Commission on Construction Education awarded grants to three northern Nevada organizations.
Truckee Meadows Community College received $7,582 to fund its construction management program. The school will purchase an computer-assisted design and estimating software.
Associated Builders and Contractors - Sierra Nevada Chapter received $28,825 for its Career in Education program and $16,627.04 for its Construction Workforce Recruitment program.
Western Apprenticeship Coordinators Association received $30,000 for high school recruitment, marketing and follow-up effort for the 14 building trades' 39 individual apprenticeship programs in 13 northern Nevada counties. NNBW staff
