Fernc Szony, formerly the president and chief executive officer of The Sands Regent in Reno, has been named president of Herbst Gaming Inc.
Szony has been chief operating officer of Herbst since the Las Vegas company acquired The Sand Regent in 2007. Before joining The Sands Regent, he was president of the Reno Hilton for three years.
