Entrepreneur expo spawns workshop series

Nevada's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology and the Workforce Development and Continuing Education Division of Truckee Meadows Community College will launch a "Best of the NCET Entrepreneurial Expo" series of workshops.

The 14-class series, based on presentations at the NCET Entrepreneurial Expo this month, will run from 6 to 9 p.m. at TMCC's Meadowood Center, in Reno, starting May 12.

Among the speakers will be David Branby, owner of a Reno ad agency; Richard Normington, who has more than 30 years of management experience with Fortune 100 companies; David Leonard, senior area manager for the U.S. Small Business Administration; and Jarrod Lopiccolo, chief executive officer of Noble Studios, a web development company.

The series is broken into a basic and advanced track, and entrepreneurs can pay $295 to attend all 14 sessions, or $50 to attend a single workshop.
