Kate Kirkpatrick has been hired by Saint Mary's Foundation as development officer.
Kirkpatrick most recently worked four years at the Desert Research Institute, where she managed fundraising, grant writing and special events.
She is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno with a bachelor's degree in journalism and earned a master's degree in philanthropy and development from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.
