Kathy Gamboa has been hired as director of the Reno campus of the University of Phoenix.
Gamboa previously served as lead faculty area chair for the undergraduate business and management programs at the campus.
Before joining the university, she worked in sales and service management positions at telecommunications companies including TCI, AT&T and Charter Communications.
She earned a master's degree in business from the University of Phoenix after she earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Nevada, Reno.
