Work has started on a retail project at Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, some of the first retail space to be developed at the sprawling industrial center east of Sparks.
Vince Griffith of Reno purchased 10 acres for the retail development at the industrial center for $1.08 million, said Lance Gilman, whose L. Lance Gilman Commercial Services is the exclusive broker for the center.
Griffith said he's talking with an oil company about a service station on the property, has conducted initial talks with a bank about a branch location and is looking for other restaurant and retail users.
Golden Gate Petroleum is developing a service station at the industrial park, across a road from Griffith's site.
