Nevada World Trade Day events set

Nevada World Trade Council celebrates Annual World Trade Day at Grand Sierra Resort on May 21. The theme is "Interdependence of Global Economies in the Era of Free Trade Agreements."

Invited speakers include Ambassador John K. Veroneau from the U.S. Trade Representative office; Lee Tae-sik, Korean ambassador to the United States; and Dr. Elliott Parker, an economist at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki is scheduled to present the Excellence in International Business and International Student Scholarship awards.

Cost is $55 ($45 for members, and $25 for students). Information is at newtrac.org.

NEWTRAC is a non-profit professional business organization that works to develop international business opportunities. Past events have included sessions on doing business in China and an overview of the South American trade market.
