Jim Southard has joined John Ascuaga's Nugget as executive vice president of hotel operations.
Southard previously worked nearly 10 years at the Las Vegas Hilton, most recently as executive director of hotel operations. He also has worked at the Excalibur Hotel Casino in Las Vegas and Caesars Tahoe Resort in Lake Tahoe.
He is a business graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
