Frank Pfieffer, Cleve Pipkin and Carol Peterson, longtime employees of Highfield Construction of Verdi, have purchased the company from founder Glen Highfield and renamed it Cutting Edge Construction.
The company's first job as Cutting Edge Construction is performing site work for the new 127-room Hyatt Place hotel at the corner of Plumb Lane and Terminal Way.
