CEI Alarm grows with its fifth acquisition

CEI Alarm of Sparks last week purchased the alarm accounts of Jaguar Electric, CEI President Dave Sinclair said.

CEI purchased 57 accounts from Jaguar, bringing its total accounts to more than 1,000, Sinclair said. The purchase is the fifth acquisition for

CEI and the company's third purchase in the past 18 months.

"We are always trying to build our account base," Sinclair said. "So far all the deals have been good deals. We knew the economy was going to go, so we tightened our belts and saved money, and now when everyone else is crying we are buying. We have positioned ourselves pretty well."

Sinclair said CEI is seeking other alarm-account acquisitions in the

Reno-Sparks area but also would consider buying out-of-town accounts.

"Every time we do something like this we get a bigger share of the market," Sinclair said. "We continue to grow through sales, but we have

found that this is the best way to grow."
