One billion consumers drive India's growing economy, but area business owners interested in export opportunities or a facility in India need to understand the country's culture. So says Rajan Zed, who sits on the boards of Nevada World Trade Council and Northern Nevada International Center.
Zed will teach a two-part class, "Doing Business in India" Sept. 9 and 16 at Truckee Meadows Community College Meadowood Center on Neil Road.
Challenges to doing business in India range from red tape to a still developing infrastructure, says Zed.
The class will also cover basics of Indian society, the legal, political and economic industrial systems, banking and finance, foreign investment, incorporation, marketing, distribution, intellectual property and living conditions.
