Carson medical

The Eagle Medical Center in Carson City has been purchased by a New York City investor.

The sellers didn't disclose the price, but county records show the transaction closed for $17.5 million. That price represents the largest commercial real estate transaction in northern Nevada this year.

The 73,975-square-foot building at 2874 Carson St. was sold by Eagle Center LLC,

composed of northern Nevada medical professionals.

It was purchased by an affiliate of Laub Realty of The Bronx.

Built in 2002, the building is 100 percent leased.

The sellers were represented by Dominic Brunetti, Scott Shanks and Scott Beggs of NAI Alliance in Reno.

They put the property on the market in August and quickly fielded five offers.

Michael Laub, president of Laub Realty, said his company likes the fundamental economics of medical office projects and believes Eagle Medical Center is the best of its type in the region.

"Long-term, we think Northern Nevada will benefit from the influx of people drawn to the high quality of life in the area," Laub said.
