Clean air recognition

Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare, Northern Nevada Medical Center, Renown Health and Saint Mary's were recognized by the Washoe County Health District last week for making their hospital campuses 100 percent smoke-free.

Also recognized on the third anniversary of the Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act were Whole Foods Market, for adopting one of the largest minimum-distance policies in the region for its smoking area, and The Purple Bean, a coffee shop, for establishing a smoke-free drive-through.
