Farrokh Hormazdi has been named deputy director of the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles.
He succeeds Clay Thomas, who retired.
Hormazdi previously worked as an auditor with the state Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation and as an auditor for DMV.
He has a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in accountancy.
