Laird Allen Brian Smith

Laird Allen and Brian Smith have been named to management positions at Renown Regional Medical Center.

Allen joins the medical center as director of facilities and clinical engineering.

He has 29 years experience in facility management with health-care organizations.

Smith was named administrator of emergency and trauma services for the regional medical center.

He previously worked as regional director of revenue operations and service documentation at Trinity Health in Kentwood and Novi, Mich.

He earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Hope College in Holland, Mich., a master's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois in Chicago and

a master's degree in hospital administration from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich.
