The Northern Nevada Estate Planning Council will host Nevada's first day-long conference devoted exclusively to educational programs for estate planning professionals.
The event on May 15 at the Peppermill Casino Resort will include presentations by:
* Jonathan Blattmachr, an attorney specializing in estate and gift tax planning, tax exempt organizations and estate and trust administration. He is former chair of the trusts and estates law Section of the New York State Bar Association.
* Dennis Roberts, chairman of the McLean Group, a mergers and acquisitions investment bank with offices in 28 US and Canadian cities. He is the author of "An Insider's Guide to the Acquisition and Sale of Middle Market Business Interests (Tales of a Deal Junky)."
* Robert Burton, director of advanced planning with Provada Insurance Services Inc. in San Francisco.
