SMC Contracting wins school district contract

SMC Contracting of Reno won a contract to provide construction services for the Lake Tahoe Unified School District.

The work, which begins in May, includes replacement of a portable building and construction of a career tech academy at South Tahoe High School. The contract has an estimated value of $30 million.

Others bidding on the job were Rudolph and Sletten Inc., Clark & Sullivan Constructors and Sundt Construction Inc.
