Baxter's Bistro completed

Q&D Construction of Sparks has completed construction of Baxter's Bistro & Lounge at Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort.

The $1.5 million contract included construction of a jazz-style lounge and stage along with a full-service kitchen.

Separately, Q&D won a 2008 Quality in Construction Award from the National Asphalt Pavement Association for its work on 11 miles of U.S. 50 near Spooner Summit.

The $8.59 million contract, which was completed in late October, involved cold-milling of 3 inches of existing asphalt and placement of 46,000 tons of asphalt to improve the roadway.
