Schettler, Macy, Silva launch CPA firm

Certified public accountants Richard Schettler, Zeth Macy and David Silva have launched a new CPA firm in Reno.

Specialties of Schettler, Macy & Silva, LLC include tax preparation and planning for small businesses and high net worth individuals and audits of small businesses and governmental agencies.

Silva, whose expertise is in audits of businesses and governmental agencies, previously worked at another Reno CPA firm and also served as the managing partner at Kafoury Armstrong for eight years.

He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with an accounting degree in 1984.

Schettler has worked with CPA firms in the Washington, D.C., San Diego and Reno areas. His area of expertise is tax preparation and planning for small businesses, high net worth individuals and U.S. citizens living abroad.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Mary Washington College in Virginia and a master's degree in accountancy from San Diego State University.

Macy works with individuals and small businesses with complex accounting and tax issues.

He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a degree in economics and earned an accounting certificate from University of Nevada, Reno.
