United Construction Co. said last week that completed construction on a new building that will house the company's corporate offices.
Construction of the building at 5300 Mill St. began in August.
United is seeking gold certification from Leadership in Energy and Environment Development for the building.
It would be the second project in northern Nevada to achieve gold certification.
The 12,350-square-foot building includes interior courtyards, lighting control systems to reduce energy use and recycled building materials purchased from local sources to minimize fuel consumption.
